A Haven for Young Minds: Empowering Kids Through Compassionate Care and Support
With social media, pressure at school, and a 24/7 media culture, being a kid in today’s world is hard, but, at Mind, Body, and Soul Counseling's, Children's Wellness Center, we’re here to make things a little easier. We offer an engaging, safe, interactive, and affirming space where kids can find the resources and support they need to navigate a diverse range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to interpersonal relationships and self-esteem.
“Kids-first” Approach
Our therapists all use a “kids-first” approach, which means that we allow your child to inform the strategies and tactics we use. Specializing in all levels of therapy comfort, from children who have been to therapy before and loved it, to those who may be apprehensive, our team is here to help your child and your family thrive.”
Learning Lifetime Skills
Have you been struggling to help your child, inundated with opinions, but feeling you lack the resources to fully help…afraid most of all of what will happen if nothing changes? Well, at Mind, Body, and Soul's Children's Wellness Center you are not alone. With extensive experience in child behavior and learning issues, the CTC’s therapists take an approach geared toward your child’s individual needs, listening closely to your child’s behaviors, as they give vital clues about the way forward.
Sometimes it’s hard to know if your child or teen is just going through a hard phase that will pass, or something more serious. We’re here to help you distinguish between growing pains and problems that should be discussed with a mental health professional. School can be very stressful for children, whether it’s completing homework, studying for tests, making new friends, or navigating relationships with teachers. Early mental health support can help your child before their struggles interfere with other parts of life.
Family Integration
We take great care to integrate the family into therapy as needed, with interventions that keep the family as a whole in mind. We move beyond “labels” to help your child build skills and behaviors that will serve them well. And though this process can be difficult, we invite laughter and full hearts into our work. For your child, your family and you, child therapy at the CWC can be a positive, affirming step, with something new to be learned at every session.
